Griffin and Madison team up to take on Germany

Griffin Real Estate and Madison International Realty have teamed up to crack the German logistics market. With Griffin’s development partner, Panattoni, the firms will develop two build-to-suit sheds for Amazon totalling 175,000 sq ft. The online retail giant has signed leases for 15 years. One property will be developed 70km to the north west of Cologne and will complete later this year. The other, 70km to the south east of Hannover, will be finished by the spring of 2022. Griffin and Madison began working together in January 2020 when they formed a jv for Poland. Nebil Senman, managing partner at Griffin Real Estate, said the move marked “another milestone in our expansion”, with Spain and the Netherlands now targets.
