Grainger turns to St Modwen for CFO hire
Build-to-rent giant Grainger has appointed St Modwen’s Robert Hudson as chief financial officer.
Hudson is chief finance and operations officer and last year held the interim chief executive role until former Centrica boss Sarwjit Sambhi joined the company.
He has more than 26 years’ experience in finance and real estate, with former roles including group financial controller at British Land and senior positions at Experian.

He has more than 26 years’ experience in finance and real estate, with former roles including group financial controller at British Land and senior positions at Experian.
Hudson will join later this year and will also become an executive director on Grainger’s board. He succeeds Vanessa Simms who is expected to leave before June 2021, joining Landsec as CFO after five years at Grainger.
