LandAid has brought together 10 organisations from across the built environment sector in a new initiative to harness real estate networks to help end youth homelessness.
The founding members of Networks Against Homelessness are: BAME in Property, Building Equality, Freehold, Ladies in Real Estate, London Property Alliance, Luxury Property Forum, Real Estate Balance, RE:Women, UKAA, Urban Land Institute and YEP.
Data from charities Homeless Link and akt shows that youth homelessness disproportionately affects young people from minority backgrounds, with 27% of young people accessing their services coming from BAME communities and 24% identifying as LGBTQ+.
