Everyman appoints Côte boss as new CEO

Everyman Media Group has appointed Alex Scrimgeour as chief executive of the cinema group. Scrimgeour, who has been chief executive of Côte Restaurants for the past five years, takes over the role on 18 January. At Everyman he is expected to bring a focus on strategy and innovation and to help the business scale-up its operations. He said: “Everyman is a truly differentiated proposition with a well-established culture of excellence. It is hugely exciting to take the business forward and build on such solid foundations as we look to expand in the years ahead.” Paul Wise, Everyman executive chairman, said the appointment reinforced the group’s “optimism in life beyond Covid”.
