Amazon has signed a 15-year lease for over 173,000 sq ft of logistics space at CBRE Global Investors’s logistics building in Germany.
The asset, located an hour from Frankfurt and in the Bingen am Rhein and Grolsheim commercial and industrial area, will be refurbished by Amazon before it occupies the site in late 2020.
CBRE Global Investors head of asset management Tore Gehres said: “We have seen a growth of demand in online shopping during the pandemic, accelerating a trend that was already driving demand for high-quality and well-located logistics assets across Europe.”
