Peabody and London Square unveil Holloway Prison masterplan
Peabody and London Square have unveiled the first plans for its 1,000-home Holloway Prison, N7, masterplan in a public consultation.
The housing association is proposing approximately 1,000-1,050 homes, of which 60% will be affordable, following on from an EIA exploring up to 1,200 homes.
The masterplan also comprises a new women’s building, homes for older people, more than 100,000 sq ft of open space, including a public park.

The housing association is proposing approximately 1,000-1,050 homes, of which 60% will be affordable, following on from an EIA exploring up to 1,200 homes.
The masterplan also comprises a new women’s building, homes for older people, more than 100,000 sq ft of open space, including a public park.
Buildings will range from three to 12 storeys spread across five blocks. It will be car-free, with priority given to pedestrians and cyclists.
The developers with work on design workshops this summer, with the final development proposals to go on exhibition this autumn, ahead of a planning application.
The scheme is the first major site to come forward as part of the Ministry of Justice estates sale announced in 2015. Peabody acquired the site from the Ministry of Justice in 2018, paying £82m for the 10-acre site on Parkhurst Road.
