The organiser of Expo Real has revised the three-day event in Munich to a two-day “hybrid” physical and virtual conference.
The event, previously scheduled for 5-7 October, will now be held on 14-15 October at the Internationales Congress Center München.
It comes after a string of major agents including CBRE, JLL and Savills withdrew from the event in recent weeks, as reported by EG.
The new format is based on three major “pillars”: live conferences for on-site attendees and live-streaming audiences around the world; individually bookable areas for exhibitors, known as smart spaces, of up to around 260 sq ft; and shows and exhibition spaces for specific topics, such as the trade show’s start-up platform.
Organiser Messe München said it expected to host around 5,000 participants on-site, depending on guidance from local authorities.
Messe München has devised a “hygiene concept” over the past few weeks, which will be applied to the new format.
