Labs Collective reveals plans to protect members and guests
Teddy Sagi’s Labs Collective, which includes flexible serviced office provider Labs and residential brand Stay, has unveiled plans to protect its members and guests following the government’s new coronavirus guidance.
Labs, which provides flexible workspace across eight buildings that have remained open during the UK’s lockdown, has adapted its spaces to create more distance between workstations, one-way systems to enable people to flow around buildings, and has extended operational hours to enable members to stagger their working hours.
In addition, it has improved sanitation in the buildings it operates, including the application of a protective barrier technology to surfaces, which when applied provides long-term coverage to kill bacteria on contact.
Labs has also increased ventilation, optimised humidity, and is using greenery to provide better air purity. It has introduced custom dividers between desk and zones of various sizes to suit member needs.
Meanwhile, Stay is reducing touch points across its three apartment buildings, including the introduction of a digital link to pay to replace its regular chip and pin machine.
It has also digitised the guest registration form to reduce the proximity of interaction needed at the time of check-in.
A barrier spray that provides long-term coverage and kills pathogens on contact has been applied to all furniture, and upon a guest’s checkout the apartments are being given a 24-hour deep clean, which includes the usage of Pro Zone machines to cleanse the air and eliminate bacteria. A ‘seal of reassurance’ will subsequently be applied to the front doors, which guests will need to break to enter.
Labs Collective added that at both Labs and Stay buildings, all people will be screened on arrival and PPE provisions are mandatory for all staff.
Dotan Weiner, chief operating officer at Labs Collective, said: “The measures we are putting in place will remain so long as the threat of Covid-19 does, but will also inform our strategic approach to design and operations in the long term.
“We hope that the best practices and protocols implemented allow guests and members to feel confident and supported when returning to work and checking in to stay.”
