LandAid emergency fund swings into action

The LandAid Covid-19 Emergency Fund, launched on 7 April, has given out its first grants. More than £100,000 has been distributed to 12 charities – including the Albert Kennedy Trust, Fat Macy’s and the Benjamin Foundation – to provide temporary accommodation, food, mental health support, PPE and help equip charities to work remotely.

To date, the fund has raised more than £500,000, with donations from partners including Allsop, CLS Holdings, Grosvenor Estates, Helical, Knight Frank, Landsec, Logicor, M&G and Savills. Mark Ridley, group chief executive at Savills, also made a personal contribution to the campaign.

To learn more about the LandAid Covid-19 Emergency Fund appeal, join the LandAid webinar on Wednesday 29 April at 5pm. Chief executive Paul Morrish will be joined by representatives from charities that received grants in this first round.
