Leeds mega office schemes get go-ahead
Town Centre Securities and Hermes have been given the green light for their respective mega schemes in Leeds by the city council’s planning committee.
Town Centre Securities has been given consent for its eight-storey office, No. 3 Whitehall Riverside, which marks the third phase of its Whitehall Riverside scheme.
No. 3 Whitehall Riverside will provide over 117,000sq ft of office space, and generate at least 10% zero carbon energy from rooftop solar panels. A 62-space car park will also be delivered.

As part of the wider Whitehall Riverside scheme, TCS has delivered the eight-floor No. 1 Whitehall Riverside, and the 164,064 sq ft No.2 Whitehall Riverside.
Meanwhile, Hermes got the thumbs up for its 243,000 sq ft 11 & 12 Wellington Place scheme, marking the first buildings to be delivered under phase two of the overall Wellington Place masterplan.
Under phase two, over 826,000 sq ft of office space will be delivered, as well as over 252,000 sq ft of residential space, circa 138,500 sq ft of hotel space, and 49,600 sq ft of retail, leisure, and food and beverage space.
The Wellington Place scheme is being developed by Oxfordshire-based MEPC.
EG revealed in May last year that the entire 4 Wellington Place had been prelet by Stars Group, on behalf of Sky Betting & Gaming.
Three months later, L&G Retirement acquired 7-8 Wellington Place from Hermes, which was fully prelet to The Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government on behalf of HMRC and NHS Digital.
