Richmond approves the Stag Brewery mixed-use scheme
Richmond Council has approved plans for a residential-led mixed-use scheme on the former Stag Brewery site in Mortlake, SW1.
Dartmouth Capital Advisors is developing the site on behalf of Singapore’s City Developments Limited, and has dubbed it the largest scheme in the borough.
The hybrid application will see 667 homes, including 138 affordable homes, on the site adjacent to Chiswick Bridge. It includes 33,000 sq ft of office space, a hotel, a care village with 150 assisted living units, a specialist care home for people with dementia, and a new secondary school.

There will be nine acres of green space with a number of public squares and a new access, connecting Mortlake Green with the River Thames.
Kwek Leng Beng, executive chairman at CDL, said: “The London Borough of Richmond is one of the most desirable locations to live, work and play with its history, picturesque river views and abundant greenery.
“The site has been sensitively designed to respect the needs of the community, while creating a vibrant mixed-use scheme that preserves the charm and character of its surroundings and contributing positively to the borough.”
The application will now go to the Greater London Authority under its stage two review, for the final approval.
