European Land plans to immediately start the speculative development of 2 Merchant Square in Paddington, W2.
The office will deliver 170,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over 17 floors, and will be available in late 2021.
The property sits within the 11-acre Merchant Square mixed-use development.
Merchant Square has been under construction since 2009, with three buildings – at 3, 4 and 5 Merchant Square – completed between 2010 and 2015.
Last year, European Land’s 42-storey “Cucumber” tower at Merchant Square was approved by Westminster City Council’s planning committee. The consent covers two towers of 42 and 21 storeys at 1 and 6 Merchant Square.
European Land is a 50:50 joint venture between the Reuben brothers and the Jarvis family.
JLL and Knight Frank are the leasing agents for 2 Merchant Square.
