Thurrock Council has approved plans for the first homes at the £1bn Purfleet town centre regeneration.
It will see joint venture partners Swan Housing Association and Urban Catalyst deliver 61 homes at the new development.
Work on phase one is due to start in the first half of 2020. It will include the development of a children’s play area and will provide public access to the nearby woodlands.
