Morgan launches Quality of Life Foundation

Sadie Morgan has launched an independent body to improve the effect that the built environment has on people’s lives. The Stirling Prize winner and government design chair has launched the Quality of Life Foundation to drive wellbeing and sustainable development. The non-profit organisation will work with developers, housebuilders and investors to address development through planning, procurement and construction. It aims to address gaps in the government’s Building Better, Building Beautiful commission to create blueprint for change. See also: Building the foundations for quality of life Morgan is selecting an advisory board of members from the public and private sector, it has secured support from Berkeley and is working to bring on additional major developers to drive this forward. Over the next year, the foundation will examine how the neighbourhood influences people and communities, developing a set of principles and a framework focused on improving sustainability and quality of life.
